Meet The Artist: Lindsey Shuman
Lindsey is a Rochester, NY native who has always had a strong passion for art and finds herself constantly inspired by works of nature and the passion of others. Art has been a focal point of Lindsey’s life since she was a kid, from taking art throughout high school to painting and drawing in her free time throughout her adolescent and adult years.
Lindsey originally found herself pursuing a career in the medical field after graduating high school. After a year in college and working in the medical field full time she realized that she wanted to change her career path and pursue a career in art. Lindsey found her inspiration for tattooing after leaving college and fell in love with the tattoo culture, the tattoo process and growing and learning in her field as an artist and as a person. Lindsey became a full time tattoo artist in 2020 and has since strived to make everyone feel as safe and comfortable as possible while in the process of seeking and getting a tattoo.
Lindsey enjoys tattooing nature based tattoos, anything spooky, and occult themed pieces. Her style could be define as feminine black and grey tattoos, as well as her own version of stylized traditional and full color tattoos. She appreciates the trust and creative freedom that any client gives her to create a piece that both her and her client are passionate about. She would like to start focusing on subject matter that is important to both herself and her client and to work harmoniously for the best possible result.
Outside of tattooing you can find Lindsey beer tasting, kayaking, exploring nature, enjoying live music or reading poetry.
